2. Data We Collect and Process

a) Server Requests and IP Addresses

When the app requests data from our servers or third-party servers, your device’s IP address is technically necessary to establish the connection.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating and securing the app).

Retention: Log data is stored [e.g. for 7 days] and then deleted unless needed for security or legal reasons.

b) Location Data

If you use location-based features (e.g. nearby airports, map view), the app will access your location data.

You can enable or disable this at any time via your device’s settings.

Location data is only processed on your device and not permanently stored by us.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent).

c) Contact Form

If you use the in-app contact form, we process your name, email address, message text, and any optional debug log information (purchase history, coarse location, app settings) in order to respond to your inquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling inquiries).

Retention: We keep communication data as long as necessary to handle your request and comply with legal retention obligations.

d) Transactions and Purchases

If you make in-app purchases, the transaction is processed directly by the respective app store operator (Apple App Store / Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of purchase and information needed to activate purchased features.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

e) Local App Data

Data such as airports you add to your clips remains stored locally on your device. Additionally, if you have iCloud enabled, this data may also be backed up and stored in your personal iCloud account. Storage and backup through iCloud are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy. This data is not transmitted to us.
